what to expect
Students who have already taken the ACT can expect their composite scores to increase by 3-4 points. Naturally, results vary depending on student motivation and preparation. The more tests you take and the more you study, the better you score!
Students may continue to take several practice tests after the workshop.

how is this course different?
Unlike other courses, Swales’s ACT/SAT Prep Seminar provides instruction to a small group of students and offers individualized analysis of each student’s particular strengths and weaknesses through the use of hand-scored practice tests and one-on-one diagnostic feedback with students.
Because Mrs. Swales has taken the ACT more than 50 times, she is well-versed in the newest changes affecting the test and she knows specifically how the problems in the test will be presented. She has done the test research personally and provides students with typed notes in all four subjects to accompany her successful, time-tested methodology.
Mrs. Swales’s 25+ years of providing test prep courses have also allowed her to observe students who may have unidentified vision difficulties which result in lower test scores. Mrs. Swales provides free developmental vision screening for students who may struggle with extended/small print testing.
This seminar includes:
- 10 1/2 hours of test prep instruction by the most experienced instructor in the Oklahoma City area
- Typed notes provided in English, math, reading and science
- Test strategies, secrets and pitfalls
- Hand-scored practice tests for several months
- Individual student analysis for all practice tests
